Life or Something Like it

Evolving
This is about me evolving...or at least trying to evolve by understanding the what and why fors of my life's experiences and every other thing I've ever read, observed, listened to or in some other way internalized and digested...whether I wanted to or not!

My Philosophy

So it goes like it goes, like the river flows And time it rolls right on And maybe what's good gets a little bit better And maybe what's bad gets gone

The Great Pretender

I recently took an exam to see if I was
"Chained to my Desk"
***
Below are the results
***
"Our scale tells us that your life is in perfect balance"!
It then goes on to describe this perfectly balanced life......

You certainly are a conscientious employee whom any employer is happy to hire. You're dependable and a hard worker, but you are careful not to let work intrude too much into your personal life. You fulfill your obligations at work, and when you have time, you do go the extra mile, but not at the expense of your family and friends. You have found a balance that works well for you between work and the people and activities about which you are passionate. Your sense of self-worth, value, and importance comes not only from your work but also your family and place in the community. You, like most responsible workers, sometimes find yourself overworked, but you know the warning signs and quickly respond to the call. You know when to say 'yes' and when to say 'no', and you are able to lend a helping hand in one arena of your life without feeling guilty about the other areas. You are not about to sacrifice the things in life that you value and make you who you are, and this also includes your career.
Congratulations!

Larry Miller

This post is in honor of Larry H. Miller
A great philanthropist in the state of Utah.
Mr. Miller passed away on Friday.
He will be missed around here.

It's amazing to me how one man can have such an enormous impact on the state he lives in. Not being from Utah I've never seen him as a younger man. I thought some of you might enjoy seeing him in his 'younger days' too!
Thanks Mr. Miller for all you've given to those of us who have benefitted from your generoisity and genius.
